Faith + Jamie – Romantic Sunset NH Engagement Session

Faith + Jamie trekked all the way from Southern Massachusetts for their engagement session in Durham NH with their beloved pups, Dalila + Maple. When they called us about being stuck in a bit of Boston traffic, we kept our fingers crossed that the sun would wait just a little bit longer before setting. Then… the clouds started coming in and we noticed something spectacular – an insanely amazing sky was forming! Rich and vibrant blues, purples, and pinks started appearing and we knew right away that this fantastical sky was going to lead the way to an incredible engagement session! When Faith + Jamie arrived with their adorable little fur-babies, we hopped right to it – maximizing the most out of that outrageous sky – and these two totally rocked their session! We can’t stop looking at this collection! That sky is incredible and we can’t help but feel like maybe {just maybe} that little bit of traffic happened for a reason. We LOVED working with Faith + Jamie and we cannot wait for their big day in 2015! We just know it’s going to be fabulous!

Go ahead and check out their totally fabulous session below and leave the happy couple some love in the comments!

Faith + Jamie Q&A

How did you meet?

Faith: We met several years before we actually started dating at the gym we both worked at. It wasn’t until a few years in, that our schedules overlapped a bit and we began to chit chat :)

Jamie: We bonded over watching “Golden Girls” on the gym television when we worked mornings together.

What did you first notice about your sweetie?

Faith: I used to think he looked so cute when he’d come in with a fresh hair cut (which i only saw a little of, because it was always under a hat!)

Jamie: Her devious smile, which is not a bad thing.

What do you like to do together?

Faith: We enjoy taking our dog-dogs to the park on nice days, and we always enjoy a good meal out.

Jamie: Rubbing each other’s feet and loving each other.

Who’s the most ticklish?

Faith: Me, for sure! I warned him from the beginning that he would get hurt if he ever tried anything. He didn’t listen and i gave him a pretty good kick in the head by mistake –  It’s a reflex!

JamieYou don’t want my input on this one.

Tell us the Proposal Story!

Faith: It was Valentines weekend, and we actually had the worst Valentine’s day in the books for us (there was some stress due to some travelling and what have you). I guess he had been planning to do it that day, but ended up having to the following day when things were going a little more smoothly. We went to a very nice dinner, and when we got back to the Bed and Breakfast we were staying at, which is now where we will be getting married, he said that he had a gift to give me since we didn’t get to exchange them the day before. I wasn’t expecting it at all, but I had a feeling what it was when he began to open it himself!

Jamie: With the help of the two owners at the Williams River house I had set up a master plan to have a lovely Valentine’s Day at our favorite bed and breakfast.  We had reservations at our favorite restaurant for a romantic dinner and I was to propose in the great room in front of the giant fireplace when we came back. Those plans were a bust. For several reasons, we didn’t exactly have a wonderful day/evening and dinner was terrible. When we returned to the Inn, Geof had a giant fire going in the great room.  We walked through the kitchen, Geof was making a cup of tea and I told him it wasn’t going down. And it didn’t. The next day everything fell into place perfectly. Everybody was feeling much happier. We had a fun day and the most delicious dinner ever. When we returned to the inn, Geof had another fire going in the great room waiting for us. I told Faith that i had forgotten to give her one of her Valentine”s Day presents. When I came back from the room I began to unwrap it myself and she knew something was up. Down on one knee, pretty traditional after that.

What’s your favorite feature/characteristic about your sweetie?

Faith: I always tell him I think he has cute legs :)

Jamie: Censored!

Have you picked a honeymoon destination? If so, where are you going?

Faith: Haven’t put too much thought into it yet.

Jamie: Nope.

How is the wedding planning going?

FaithThere have definitely been some large bumps in the road, but hopefully we got that out of the way. We pretty much have all the major parts all squared away.

Jamie: Stressful, but mostly done

What are you most excited about for the wedding?

Faith: I’m definitely excited to see how everything will turn out when it’s all pulled together, but mostly, to kiss my husband for the first time :)

Jamie: To see Faith in her dress walking towards me.
